ANZCHOG is also the Australian and New Zealand peak professional body for paediatric oncologists and other health professionals caring for children and adolescents with cancer and blood diseases. About the Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to drive paediatric cancer research forward. In this role, you’ll lead the preparation and submission of grant applications to secure vital funding, while also supporting scientific communications through drafting and editing manuscripts, abstracts, and policy papers. Additionally, you will provide occasional support for communication with advisory groups, governance committees, and external partners to ensure clear, accurate, and impactful messaging. About You Post graduate qualifications in a science, health or research related discipline. Demonstrated experience in developing, writing and successfully securing research funding for competitive grants in the health or biomedical sector. Familiarity with Australian funding schemes highly regarded. Ability to synthesise complex scientific literature and data into clear, compelling written content for diverse audiences. Proven experience writing, editing, and proofreading scientific and health research materials, including publications, policy papers, and advocacy documents. Excellent written communication skills, with a track record of producing clear, precise, and well-structured scientific and policy content. Flexible, adaptable with excellent time management skills. Strong initiative, self-motivation and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Employment Conditions This position is a fixed term contract role in a part-time (0.6FTE) capacity. Salary is based Technical and Professional Scale (TAP 8) dependant on experience. Superannuation of 12% and very attractive salary packaging options are available. How to apply.
