They are a critical player in their sector and focused on developing new renewable solutions to help create a more sustainable future. The legal team is highly integrated with regulation, strategy, and commercial functions. The executive team includes leaders focused on the energy transition and commercial operations, ensuring legal is front‑and‑centre in strategic decisions. The Role In this key role you will work in a close‑knit legal team that enjoys acting commercially and adding true value. Core Focus Areas Renewable Projects: Drafting and negotiating EPC, supply, and operating agreements for hydrogen and CCS projects, and ensuring compliance with new grant and funding requirements Infrastructure Contracts: Managing long‑term infrastructure and transport contracts for pipelines Economic Regulation: Supporting engagement with the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) on major access arrangements and revenue resets (which occur every 5 years for distribution networks like AGN and MGN) Regulatory Compliance: Advising on safety, environmental, and corporate governance compliance across a large, high‑pressure asset base The Candidate The successful candidate will have around 3‑5 years’ experience in either utilities, construction or the gas sector. Ideal attributes you will possess are: Ability to draft, negotiate and interpret EPC, supply, and operating agreements Experience working within a regulated environment Ability to work across the business, be strategic and pragmatic The legal understanding to analyse and allocate risk effectively Strong influence and communication skills This role can be located in either Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth.
