Doncare Community Care and Counselling Centre Inc – Doncaster VIC Are you a qualified Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the community? Doncare are looking for someone to take up the newly created position of Intake and Case Management Coordinator in January 2026. This is a SCHADS Level 5 full time role. Doncare is a not for profit agency, providing high quality services in the areas of Counselling, Social Support, Family Services and practical assistance to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged residents of Manningham and surrounding suburbs. This new full time role will work closely with Counselling and the Emergency Relief teams to provide intake services to prospective clients. They will supervise and train students to conduct intakes, allocate clients and undertake Case Management Services through the provision of timely assessment, advice, support, advocacy, referral and follow up. They will also supervise another new role, the Emergency Relief Financial Capability Worker. The position requires a self‑motivated individual with warmth and high emotional intelligence, who can manage and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and has strong attention to detail. They will use their strong interpersonal, leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills to facilitate and model best practice to support clients. The individual must be adaptive and open to change, and able to manage interruptions while continuing to deliver on agreed tasks. An ability to work with and assist diverse clientele who have experienced trauma is essential. About you To be successful in this role, an ideal candidate will have: Tertiary qualification in social work (essential). Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive intake, risk and wellbeing assessments with ability to assess counselling and Family violence client needs and suitability for different therapeutic support programmes. Ability to train and support students to conduct intakes and undertake case management for our clients. Demonstrated ability to supervise social work students. Working knowledge of the sector and experience in case management and referral or intake and assessment roles. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in providing inclusive, strength based, trauma‑informed and culturally safe services. Sound knowledge in relevant legislative requirements. Demonstrated ability in time management, setting priorities and planning work effectively. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and effectively communicate with clients, families and foster relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Highly developed administration skills including a sound understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability and confidence to work with data management systems. Previous experience with CSnet would be highly regarded. High integrity and reliability. Proven competence in high level attention to detail.
