Responsibilities Providing legal advice to management team & the board General commercial third party agreements & contract reviews Interpret legislation & ensure company’s compliance with all processes Ensure policies & procedures are kept current with legislative changes Aligning company policies across the entire group & new acquisitions Manage complaints process across the organization Breach management reporting for the board Reviewing potential purchase sale contracts Identify & elevate risks to senior management Reviewing marketing content for legal compliance Manage company’s relationships with regulators Continuous improvement of internal controls To be successful in securing this brilliant opportunity, you will require a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role within the general insurance industry (insurer or broker), some working experience in a legal firm and completed legal qualifications. Ideally you will have proven familiarity with; FOS process, AFSL, Code of Practice, Insurance Contracts Act, Corporations ACT, ASIC, compliance procedures and brokers legal and regulatory requirements.
