Where you'll be working Positions within RNSH Nutrition Services are appointed on the relevant grading, not to a specified clinical area. Clinical area allocation is based upon departmental need. What you'll be doing The position is required to be part of the face to face 7‑day Clinical Dietitian service inclusive of weekends and public holidays as rostered with working hours of 08:30‑17:00. The weekday hours of work are 08:00‑16:30 or 08:30‑17:00, as well as participation in the “late shift” roster with hours of 08:30‑17:00 to support departmental technical staff. The position of Senior Clinical Dietitian/ Educator provides a high‑quality Nutrition and Dietetics service to allocated clinical areas and works with independent professional judgment, when required, in solving problems and managing cases. This role facilitates learning and professional development for students, dietetic health professionals, technical and support staff. The position provides leadership within clinical education to ensure provision of a high standard of the clinical nutrition service via the planning, monitoring and evaluation of services; clinical supervision and support of students and staff; development and implementation of innovative service models and initiatives. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidate Criteria Bachelor or post‑graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Recent, extensive and varied post‑graduate clinical experience as a Level 2 Dietitian or above. Demonstrated experience in leading, initiating, mentoring, completing and presenting quality improvement activities, research and service evaluation process. Demonstrated post‑graduate experience in teaching, continuing professional development and supervision for professional staff and students. Sound knowledge of adult learning principles and demonstrated ability to design, develop, deliver and evaluate education programmes. Need more information?
