Inside Sales Representative - AWS - Fixed Term Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people’s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow. About The Role (your Why) As an Inside Sales Representative, your day will be a dynamic mix of prospecting, relationship building, and solution selling. You’ll identify and pursue new sales opportunities through phone calls, email outreach, social platforms, and other channels, while also nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing clients. You’ll regularly conduct market research to spot emerging trends, understand competitive offerings, and identify potential areas for growth. Your role involves preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals that clearly communicate value, often collaborating with our technical teams to shape tailored product solutions aligned to specific client needs. Each day, you’ll work toward achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets and KPIs, while maintaining high standards of customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty. Please note this is a full-time 12-month Fixed Term Contract role. What you’ll do Achieving revenue targets or sales quotas by engaging with new and existing clients Processing requests for quotes promptly and accurately, adhering to company policies and procedures Maintaining regular contact with assigned clients to ensure optimal service delivery Help customers and our other Datacom sellers navigate funding types from AWS to bring investment for those looking to transform with AI and Cloud Identifying customer objectives, decision‑making processes, and building new and on‑existing business partnerships Generating new business leads through cold calling, mailing, and referrals while staying informed about competitor strategies Participating in sales promotions, campaigns, events, and displays to boost AWS brand presence What You'll Bring Ability to engage with clients at all levels and provide solutions Strong sales acumen, including negotiation, persuasion, and exceptional communication skills Capability to interpret technical concepts and align them with client business objectives Ability to be collaborative in working with AWS sales teams to bring the best of both Datacom and AWS to customers Results‑driven with focus on attaining targets and achieving desired customer and growth outcomes Proven experience in inside sales or a similar sales role Strong understanding of the Information Technology and Services industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively A results‑oriented mindset with a passion for technology and sales Why join us here at Datacom?
