Job Description Create your best future and join Westpac as a Cloud Managed Services Tech Lead – AWS. What’s the role? An exciting opportunity is available for a Cloud Managed Services (CMS) Tech Lead to own and operate our AWS cloud managed services function. This role is accountable for ensuring stability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of AWS-hosted workloads, while leading a team that supports customers throughout their cloud journey. The CMS Lead will oversee day-to-day operations, drive service improvements, and act as the primary point of contact for escalations and service delivery excellence across the enterprise. What do I need? Proven experience leading Cloud Managed Services (CMS) teams in large enterprise environments, delivering AWS-based managed services at scale. Strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC networking. Hands‑on knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, backup/recovery, and cost management. Experience managing incidents, change control, and operational SLAs in a 24/7 mission-critical environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences. Familiarity with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and enterprise monitoring platforms. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional or equivalent AWS certification – preferred. Why join us?
