Your new role We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Prevention Policy & Research (Public Sector) team as Senior Strategic Policy & Research Officer on a full-time ongoing basis. Reporting to the Manager - Prevention Policy & Research, the role will primarily focus on strategic policy development, responsible for research and report writing in response to contemporary and emerging corruption and police misconduct issues and risks. Duties include: Prepare high-quality authoritative reports and develop appropriate recommendations for policy, system or practice change to assist corruption prevention. Undertake research and complex analysis across a range of information systems. Provide analysis and advice to senior management on the policy and strategic implications of initiatives and proposals. Plan and manage projects on policy and research issues and ensure project objectives are met in a timely way. Additional duties are set out in the position description. We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities: Policy skills - highly developed research, conceptual and analytical skills demonstrated in the development, analysis and resolution of complex policy issues. Demonstrated high level written and verbal skills in policy and report writing, analysis and briefing. Experience in public sector operating environments and a tertiary qualification are desirable.
