Great opportunity for a Grade 4 dietitian who is passionate about workforce operations and staff wellbeing. Ongoing, part‑time role working 32 hours per week from 2 February 2025 Primary location is Austin Campus with regular travel to Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital (at least one day per week) and occasional travel to Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre Pay range as per JC1 to JC41 classification, $62.55 – $75.06 per hour plus salary packaging, super, and higherqualification allowance if applicable Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north‑east of Melbourne and statewide. About the Nutrition and Dietetics Department The Nutrition and Dietetics Department is part of the Allied Health division, which employs over 1,000 health professionals across 27 disciplines. It operates as a single department across three sites – Austin (acute care), Repat (sub‑acute care) and Talbot (rehabilitation) – and provides services to inpatients, outpatients and home & community programmes. The team is vibrant, fast‑paced and supportive, with senior dietitians leading clinical teams across a range of specialities and portfolios such as staff education, quality, research, student training, food service, nutrition support and workforce operations. About the role As Workforce Operations Lead for the Department, you will focus on human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, staffing, workload allocation, leave management, payroll, staff wellbeing and health and safety. You will lead the Workforce Portfolio, coordinate with clinical stream leaders on staffing and workload matters, and oversee casual and backfill staff, including their training and allocation. In partnership with the Grade 4 Performance and Innovation Lead, you will contribute to the development and implementation of a digital health strategy aligned with Allied Health priorities. You will collaborate with the Department Manager and Grade 4 dietitians on the Dietetics Executive Committee, contributing to strategic planning, quality, safety, teaching, research and policy development. You will also represent the department on the Allied Health Strategic Workforce Committee and the Health, Safety & Wellness Committee. This role requires a minimum of two days at Austin and one day at Heidelberg per week, with start times no later than 8:45 am.
