Child Welfare, Youth & Family Services (Community Services & Development) Full time $80,000 to $90,000 base salary Broome & Kimberley WA About Us Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) delivers a wide range of health and wellbeing services to more than 6500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Broome region. BRAMS has recently been accepted as a trial site to implement a project to deliver a Family and Domestic Violence program through AHCWA. The project aims to: Provide a culturally responsive and holistic FDV service, including case management and wrap-around support; Provide a crisis response; and Raise awareness of FDV in the community through culturally responsive education. About the Role The Aboriginal Family and Domestic Violence Case Worker will provide specialist support and collaborative case management to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children in accordance with the Western Australian Aboriginal Family Safety Strategy. The Aboriginal Family and Domestic Violence Case Worker will provide targeted case management and interagency advocacy to assist the women and children to achieve goals set out in their case plan. In addition, this role will involve developing and implementing community education projects, programs and presentations and coordinating events and activities. To be successful, you will: Have demonstrated experience or understanding of health and wellbeing issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; and Demonstrated understanding and application of Family and Domestic Violence models and theories.
