Aged Care Volunteer Visitor - Frenchs Forest North Shore & Northern Beaches About this opportunity Proveda is an approved provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government. Are socially isolated, including if they belong to a diverse, complex vulnerability or cultural group; and Do not have regular and reasonable frequent positive and engaged contact with friends or relatives; and Feel isolated and lonely; and Have frailty, mobility or communication impairment that prevents them from participating in social or leisure opportunities; Have been approved for, or are in receipt of government residential aged care or HCP; Do not participate in social support group services funded by a Commonwealth subsidized aged care program Benefits Provides you with a sense of purpose. Tasks and responsibilities Provide companionship & social support for lonely and isolated people in your local community Visit the Elderly in their own home or in Residential Aged Care Utilise your skills to provide assistance with technology Provide assistance with shopping and getting to medical appointments Skills acquired Advice & Guidance Communication Skills Community Development Elder Care Category: Seniors & Aged Care Commitment: Regular - less than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: It is hoped that a volunteer could commit to approximately an hour per week/fortnight. The program is very flexible dependent upon your availability. Training: Full Training is provided for all fully onboarded Proveda Volunteers.
