Project Manager - Facilities and Infrastructure About the Opportunity The Project Manager - Facility and Infrastructure is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering capital expenditure (Capex) projects and medium to large-scale repair and maintenance programs across the organisation’s built assets. This role ensures that all infrastructure works are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget, and in accordance with relevant regulatory, compliance and quality standards. What’s Involved Lead the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure upgrade, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. Prepare and manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and procurement strategies. Engage and coordinate external consultants, contractors, and service providers. Ensure works are planned and executed with minimal disruption to business operations. Develop and manage the Capex program for infrastructure and facility upgrades. Identify and prioritise infrastructure needs through condition assessments, compliance audits, and stakeholder consultation. Prepare business cases and board submissions for capital funding approval. Oversee contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Foster effective communication with internal stakeholders, tenants, and external agencies. Chair project meetings, issue progress reports, and facilitate project handovers. Contribute to long-term asset management planning through data analysis and lifecycle costing. Maintain accurate records of asset condition, warranties, and completed works. Recommend strategic investment in infrastructure aligned to operational requirements. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and other relevant codes. Implement safe work procedures and contractor inductions. Support internal audits and regulatory inspections where infrastructure is involved. You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field Trade qualification. 5+ years’ experience in project management of building infrastructure or facility upgrade projects. Demonstrated experience managing Capex and maintenance budgets in the range of $500kâ$10M+. Strong understanding of construction, building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), and structural systems. Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and project tracking tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. PMP, PRINCE2 or similar project management certification.
