Lecturer, Communication Design Join to apply for the Lecturer, Communication Design role at RMIT University. Overview Full-time, Continuing position Salary Academic Level B ($115,303 – $136,925) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus About The Role The Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School of Design in disciplines related to their field of expertise. The role involves teaching undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Graphic Design and postgraduate courses in Communication Design, with expertise in Human‑centred Design, Service Design, UX Design and/or Information/Interaction/Experience Design being an advantage. The Lecturer is also expected to maintain and advance their scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities and promote the program through partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. To Be Successful For This Position, You’ll Have Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post‑graduate levels, including online delivery, and produce high‑quality curriculum or program materials. Ability to undertake course coordination role. Capacity to work effectively with and negotiate sensitively with students on effective learning issues. Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs that contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas, evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links. Demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree by research candidates. Qualifications Mandatory: Hold a PhD in a relevant field.
