Overview Publican | Bridge Inn Hotel is seeking a hands-on Publican. $90,000 base salary negotiable based on experience + Super + Bonus Scheme + Tools of Trade (phone, laptop). What’s a Publican? Located at the Bridge Inn and Plentry Roads, the Bridge Inn Hotel has been a beloved establishment in Mernda since the 1890s. Recently renovated A La Carte and Lounge dining areas; our extensive menu showcases the finest ingredients sourced from local suppliers and reflects the essence of our community. This is a high-volume, high-quality F&B driven venue with a sports bar featuring 40 screens, a theatrette-style viewing area, and a well-serviced gaming room. A Day In The Life Of a Publican You know the locals by name, you’re part of the community, while monitoring the P&L. Lead operations to be safe, smooth, and compliant. Be the pillar of the local community and drive a high-performing team. Anticipate issues and resolve problems before they escalate. Bring the vibe, the service, and the smiles every shift. Inherent Requirements Hands-on role; manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g., moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently. About You You have high volume, high quality F&B experience. You should have the presence and pride to own a pub like it’s yours.
