About The Role This position sits within the Homelessness Cluster which aims to improve the health, wellbeing, housing, and social outcomes of people experiencing homelessness in the Inner North-West of Melbourne. Lived experience of homelessness, mental ill‑health, or substance use, and recovery, complemented by first‑hand experience engaging with the service system as a client. Lived Experience Workers address immediate crisis support needs, through to longer term support to establish safe and affordable long‑term housing. Your Duties Include Share lived experience where it is appropriate relevant, and purposeful to the recovery journey of the consumer Provide community‑based support in partnership with clients, that is strengths‑based, recovery‑oriented, and goal directed Work collaboratively with clients, carers, and community services to conduct assessments, identify goals, and support the implementation and review of care plans Facilitate peer‑led and therapeutic groups that support recovery, social connection, and skill development Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders What Cohealth Offers Exciting Parental leave benefits: cohealth offers primary carers 14 weeks paid parental leave upon completion of only 6 months of continuous service; eligible co‑workers will continue to receive superannuation on unpaid parental leave as well Salary packaging to suit you – tax‑free amount of up to $15,900 p.a (mortgage, rent, or credit cards) and a further $2,650 p.a (meal, entertainment expenses and holiday accommodation) alongside generous reward programmes from our salary‑packaging providers.
