Customer Relations Representative

A growing national transport and logistics organisation is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Relations Representative to join their Mulgrave-based team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Role As part of the Customer Relations team, you will be responsible for supporting clients with their transport and freight needs from start to finish. You’ll handle enquiries, provide timely updates, monitor consignments through our TMS systems, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure service expectations are met. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Key Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound customer enquiries across phone, email, online chat and cases Provide timely updates on consignments, proactively communicate delays, and ensure issues are resolved or escalated as required Monitor delivery performance and ensure service levels align with customer expectations Record all customer interactions and updates in Salesforce and MachShip accurately and efficiently Investigate late consignments and coordinate with carriers to resolve service issues Generate, document and manage quotations, ensuring accuracy of costs, fuel levies, GST status and validity statements Update ETAs, PODs, case details, and consignment notes within required timeframes Support customers in making informed decisions by offering suitable transport options Identify service gaps and work collaboratively with operations to improve performance Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional approach in all interactions Complete required Daily Activity Lists and attend scheduled team meetings and training sessions What We’re Looking For Previous experience in customer service, ideally within transport/logistics (transferable skills welcome) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a friendly telephone manner Ability to learn quickly, handle data entry and system management Strong attention to detail and customer-centric attitude Why You Will Love This Role Full-time role supporting a growing, evolving transport business Structured training and ongoing support Opportunity to build your career in logistics and client relations Based in Mulgrave, offering a modern work environment and a chance to impact service for national clients How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover note indicating your interest and suitability for this role.
