ABOUT THE ROLE Role Purpose: As a Uniting Volunteer Activity Assistant, your role is to assist with the delivery of a range of activities, to support the leisure and wellness of Uniting aged care guests. ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a high standard of conduct and volunteering performance based on Unitings values, Code of Conduct and Ethical Behaviour. Contribute to a culture of openness, feedback and productivity. Take care of the safety of yourself and others at all times and undertake volunteering in a safe manner in accordance with policies, procedures and instructions. Actively contributes to a safe and supportive environment that is inclusive of all people through celebrating their nationality, cultural background, LGBTI status, abilities, gender and age. Work alongside staff and residents to deliver activities to support leisure and wellness. Be punctual and inform your manager if something arises. Bring yourself to the role by sharing your experiences, skills and interests. Be guided by the client based on their needs and interests. Report any concerns to your manager.
