About the Role As an Investigator, you will assist with end-to-end investigations into allegations of misconduct, performance issues, fraud, corruption, and other critical matters. With a commitment to procedural fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism, you will ensure investigations align with internal policies and legal frameworks. You will gather evidence, conduct or assist with interviews, and prepare detailed reports, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, you will provide strategic recommendations to the National Manager of Investigations and play a role in improving processes and achieving departmental objectives. Role would suit people with backgrounds from working within law enforcement, correctional services, military, customs, immigration, criminology and sociology. In your new role, you will: Assist in conducting investigations into allegations such as misconduct, fraud, or deaths in custody, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and policies. Develop and implement investigation plans, collect evidence, and prepare detailed investigation reports. Conduct or assist with witness and relevant employee interviews, managing evidence handling with the utmost professionalism. Collaborate with the investigations team to assist with strategies for complex and sensitive cases. Provide timely updates and recommendations to the National Manager of Investigations. Assist in preparing legal briefs, audits, and performance development plans. Contribute to continuous learning, adhering to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality. Maintain accurate records and manage documentation processes efficiently. To be successful, you will have: Hold at least a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or be willing to obtain it within an agreed timeframe. Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in investigations or related fields. Be willing to travel frequently and with limited notice interstate and overseas as required by business needs. High level of discretion and ethical integrity. Ability to gain and retain all police/National Security Clearances. Ability to pass any required health assessments. A valid Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain). Proof of double vaccination against Covid-19 with a vaccine recognised in Australia.
