Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Department: Diversity Equity & Inclusion Enterprise Agreement: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Secto Job Function: Nursing Project: Best Experience Clinician LGBTIQA+ Location: Sunshine Hospital Employment Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week), Ongoing Salary: CNC C or AHP Grade 3/4 + Super + Salary Packaging About the Tole: Best Experience Clinicians (BECs) are senior nurses or allied health professionals who provide clinical consultation and lead service improvements across the Best Experience Division, including the Disability Liaison Service, Aboriginal Health Unit – Wilim Berrbang, and the new Gender, Sex and Sexuality Liaison Service. This role will contribute specialist LGBTIQA+ expertise to the BEC team. Key Responsibilities: As a member of the Best Experience Clinical team, the BEC will: Provide expert clinical consultation and advice within their area of specialisation: for this role LGBTIQA+ health needs Champion service improvements that enhance the accessibility, safety, and quality of care. Collaborate with Best Experience LGBTIQA+, Disability and Neurodiversity Navigators and Wilim Berrbang Aboriginal Health team to ensure coordinated and clinically informed consumer support and referral pathways. Build workforce capability through mentoring, education, and evidence-based practice. Support initiatives that embed the consumer voice and lived experience across service design and delivery. The BEC is instrumental in helping Western Health build an organisation-wide culture of inclusion and accessibility, ensuring all consumers experience high‑quality, person‑centred care throughout their health journey. About You: This role will suit someone with lived experience from or a deep understanding of LGBTIQA+ communities; along with awareness of intersectional identities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; cultural or racial diversity; and people with disability or neurodivergence.
