We are looking for an experienced Clinician to join our Hobart team in providing best practice mental health care. Purpose The Clinician will be responsible for providing professional clinical intervention, mental health and wellbeing services to clients and customers as part of the customer’s Employee Assistance Program. They will support the sales team and customers with how to address mental health and wellbeing risk, as well as psycho-social issues within the customers business. They will provide short-term counselling, onsite and critical incident support, brief associate clinicians organised to deliver clinical support to clients and customers, provide managers support and resources around how to respond to situations/issues within their business, and complete appropriate reporting and case management notes. Key Accountabilities Provide short-term, solution-focused counselling services to clients via face to face, phone or teams/video as required. Ensuring the clients needs are assessed and recommendations of appropriate interventions are established. Triage and manage crisis intervention services for clients who are high risk &/or at risk, including de-escalation, safety planning and coordination of emergency care as required. Work with the Clinical Services Team and Clinical Response Team to resource customer requests with the appropriately qualified and experienced clinician to meet the needs of the customer request and provide a positive customer experience. The Clinician who is assigned to the request may be an internal employee or one of our contract associate clinicians. Provide onsite support and Critical Incident support for requests where you are assigned as the Clinician to attend. Provide support to Clinicians/Counsellors who go to Critical Incidents (CI’s) and on-sites. This may include de-briefing the Clinician/Counsellor post event, supporting them via phone while on-site, providing trauma support to clients/customers, or attending on-site with the Clinician/Counsellor. Provide manager consultation services to Customers HR/P&C teams & Managers to equip them to handle their employee-related concerns. This would include strategies, resources, tools, etc to help them respond to their situation/issue, including how to manage and support at risk employees. Escalating any ongoing patterns or issues identified at a customer’s organisation through the appropriate channels. Making sure the Key Relationship Manager or Relationship Manager is informed of such matters identified. Partner with the commercial team to consult with customers as required about AccessEAP services and to promote mental health and wellbeing initiatives. Depending on business needs you may also be required to: hold supervision sessions, learning and development delivery, conduct workplace mediation sessions, facilitate group debriefs and develop clinical resources for internal and external customers. Professional Requirements Receive regular individual clinical supervision and attend at least 60% of the peer supervision provided. Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points as required by their professional body, by attending Professional Development (PD) relevant to the work they do. Keep registration/ membership with professional body up to date and provide evidence to AccessEAP. Maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance at all times.
