About the Role As a Kitchen Hand at Sheldon College you will play an important role in supporting our busy College kitchen. Key responsibilities include: Washing and sanitising dishes utensils and equipment. Maintaining a clean safe and organised kitchen environment. Assisting with general cleaning and tidying tasks as required. Supporting the catering team during daily service and special events. Taking on additional shifts for College functions and events when available. This position offers approximately 13 hours per fortnight with opportunities for extra hours during peak periods. About you Youre someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment. Youre organised and reliable. Youll thrive in a team setting but can also work independently to get things done. To be successful in this role you will bring Experience working in a kitchen - within a school childcare or caf environment would be ideal. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A keen eye for detail with high standards for presentation hygiene and quality. A friendly approachable nature and the ability to build positive relationships with staff students and parents. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
