PMO Coordinator—Role Overview Join our team as a PMO Coordinator playing a critical role in supporting the Program Management Office for a major Federal Government initiative. You will report day-to-day to the Deputy Program Manager and be accountable for delivering PMO functions and ensuring governance, financial control, and operational excellence across the program. Key Responsibilities Lead financial management activities across the PMO, including forecasting, variance analysis, workforce planning, and project financial controls. Manage core PMO governance and operations, coordinating planning workshops, reporting, process documentation, and audit compliance. Serve as the central coordination point for program administration, onboarding / offboarding, information management, and stakeholder support. Drive risk and issue management, facilitating reviews, tracking mitigations, and maintaining program-level visibility of key risks. Oversee program communications and engagement, producing regular stakeholder updates, maintaining consistent messaging, and coordinating program events and recognition activities. Qualifications Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and initiative to resolve issues. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint; Power BI reporting skills highly regarded. Solid understanding of project and program management principles, supported by PMI CAPM or PMP certification; experience in financial planning and control within projects / programs. Ability to problem solve and collaborate with team members to find the solution. Required Citizenship and Security Clearance This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold Baseline security clearance.
