BDM - Chemical Water Treatment

In a complete rethink of chemistry their technology has already had proven success in the Australian market and it quickly being established as an industry leader and standard. This has led to the company overachieving on its plans for growth and they have now recalculated their plans to add a new head count to the team. There are significant strategies in place and already presence is being built globally. With one of the most experienced and successful identities in the industry driving this level of success we are so far ahead of schedule we are ready to add another sales professional. THE ROLE They key element of this position as with all sales roles is to drive new business sales and then repeat customer purchases by facilitating the sales through our strong and completely established distributor network. Your core focus will be to generate the interest and understanding in potential customers and leading the sales process to close where they are then passed through to a sales order and ongoing orders with our partners. Given the response from customers thus far it really will be about appointment setting and then consulting with prospects to get pilot programmes established which will then easily lead to engagement and sales conversion. The relevant target markets will be in the municipal, industrial, agriculture and recreational water areas. There will be a blend of new business contacts as well as an established customer base to leverage off. You will need to liaise with relevant authorities such as the EPA to smooth the way for the sales being finalised. You will also be the contact to guarantee any questions around the technical application are answered properly and promptly. ABOUT YOU Given the high quality of direct leadership that this role reports to and that there will be a strong support structure in place regarding the chemistry of the solution. As a result, we are looking for a high performing BDM who really understands sales process and how to build out a territory. Of course, you must have a chemical background and that can come from applied chemistry or chemical engineering background. A network within councils, agriculture sectors and possibly recreational water will be advantageous as well. Above all you must be someone who has strong sales skills and principles in prospecting, lead generation and running an entire sales process to close.
