The Police Association Victoria – East Melbourne VIC The Police Association Victoria (TPAV) exists to represent the industrial, legal, wellbeing and OHS interests of approximately 18,000 members (sworn Victoria Police Officers and Protective Services Officers) and is among the most influential and high‑profile representative bodies in the State. ABOUT THE ROLE To be successful in this role, you will be skilled at developing and maintaining collaborative and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders to assist in the management of industrial issues and progress the Association’s objectives. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of employment law and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes. THE DUTIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE Advice to, and representation of, members in industrial relations matters, employment entitlements, discrimination issues, individual employment grievances and occupational health and safety and worker’s compensation matters. Advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other courts, tribunals and forums and in negotiations with management, including senior managers of Victoria Police. Contribute to the development and conduct of campaigns including through participating in meetings with members and engagement with delegates.
