We are looking for an Environmental Engineer or Environmental Scientist Graduate to join our dynamic Contamination Assessment & Remediation (CAR) team This role will be based out of our Coffs Harbour office. We work in several different industries including local, state and federal government, infrastructure, waste and landfills, water and wastewater, oil and gas upstream and downstream, industrial, pipelines, and energy & resources. What will you get to do? Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: implementing environmental investigations, including field investigations with drilling (various rig types), monitoring well and soil vapour installation oversight; coordinating environmental monitoring (soil, sediment, groundwater, soil vapour, surface water); field oversight of contractors; assisting with field scope development, scheduling and budgeting; assisting with data compilation and interpretation; preparing technical environmental reports for senior review; maintaining safety training to conduct environmental contaminated sites work. What you will bring to the team Will graduate by December; A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent; 0 to 2 years of experience in environmental consulting; Strong interest in chemistry, soil, groundwater, contamination assessment, and remediation methods; Knowledge of contaminated sites regulation and associated guidance, protocols, and guidelines; Willingness to travel throughout Northern NSW and Australia to undertake field work (field demands can include working long hours, occasional extended stints and inclement weather conditions); Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excellent writing and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to multiple audiences including subcontractors, clients and colleagues; Strong technical writing, data analysis and interpretation skills; Valid full driver's licence and comfort with long distance and off‑road driving (training will be provided).
