Dental Floor Coordinator – Oral Health Victoria (formerly Dental Health Services Victoria) About Oral Health Victoria Oral Health Victoria is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria, dedicated to improving the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups. Funded by the State Government, OHV provides clinical dental services and leads in policy, programme and guideline development. Compensation & Benefits Full time, ongoing position as the Dental Floor Coordinator in Primary Care Salary: $73,092 + 12% super + salary packaging Annual leave: 5 weeks + an accrued day off per month Newly renovated ground floor, collaborative team environment Supports Victorians to improve their oral health Your Role: Create An Impactful Change You will oversee operations across our Primary Care Dental Chairs, coordinate patient flow, manage resources, and ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality care. You’ll be the go‑to person for daily chair management, staffing allocations, and real‑time problem‑solving, working closely with leadership to optimise throughput, patient safety and team performance. You will be part of a supportive, friendly, welcoming team that values collaboration, respect and shared success. Key Responsibilities Coordinate dental lists and chair management to align with clinical priorities. Lead and support dental teams daily, modelling a calm, solutions‑focused, can‑do approach. Manage staffing allocations and skill mix, escalating and problem‑solving in real time. Partner with leadership to optimise throughput and patient safety. Monitor clinical standards, patient flow and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate handovers. Liaise with other services to maintain continuity of care. Contribute to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives across the unit. Bring technical expertise and a people‑first mindset. Qualifications Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (desirable). Experience in coaching and team management is an advantage; we welcome motivated Dental Assistants with less experience. Knowledge in rostering and resource management.
