Overview Join a team of highly talented pastry chefs in a dynamic and growing production business in a brand new factory creating cakes and desserts for wholesale customers. We are the supplier of choice for many well known cafés, event venues, caterers and gourmet supermarkets. Responsibilities This full time role will suit a qualified pastry chef with hands on experience in producing and decorating customised desserts in a fast paced high volume production environment. This is an active hands on role creating premium desserts with layers, fillings, piping, masking, glazes, chocolate, purees, fondant, fruits and nuts. You will also be involved in new product development work. Work Environment This is an ideal lifestyle role working a normal day shift from Monday to Friday. Occasional limited weekend work may be required. Good opportunities exist to broaden your pastry skills and management experience. With strong performance comes the rewards. Requirements You will be highly motivated, reliable, committed, hard working and in good physical health. You must have good organisational and planning skills, be a self‑starter, take ownership, perform well under time pressures, possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have a good understanding of food safety management. You must be able to work independently with limited supervision but also be a good team player and support other staff as required.
