Your new opportunity Queensland Treasury's Social Policy division is seeking skilled professionals to assist in monitoring and analysing financial and non-financial performance across Government agencies. This role also involves developing fiscally sound public policies that influence Queensland's economy and contribute to broader policy development. With significant exposure to complex budgetary and policy issues, you will play a vital part in delivering strategic responses to challenges impacting various Government sectors. In This Role, You Will Provide strategic advice and support to clients and senior executives on complex budget, financial management, and policy matters. Lead processes to monitor, analyse and interpret agency budgets and financial information. Offer authoritative advice on budget processes and financial reporting requirements. Prepare and coordinate highly complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence within tight timeframes. Build positive relationships with stakeholders, negotiating innovative solutions to complex issues. Mentor and develop junior staff to accomplish divisional and organisational priorities. Represent Treasury across committees and working groups while contributing to ministerial briefings. Drive strategic initiatives and support organisational goals. What Experience You Will Bring Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results in high-pressure environments. Expertise in analysing and interpreting financial and non-financial performance data or developing government policy. The ability to deliver practical solutions supported by strategic analysis and advice. Skilled communication tailored to diverse audiences and purposes. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills facilitating collaboration and information sharing. Sound judgement and understanding of varying perspectives in complex problem-solving scenarios. Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
