Randstad is seeking a motivated Trade Counter and Trade Yard Assistant to join our client in Hobart. This dynamic role offers variety, splitting your time between assisting customers at the trade counter and managing inventory and logistics in the yard. Trade Counter Responsibilities Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for trade professionals, processing sales, handling account inquiries, and providing expert advice on our range of building materials and hardware. Sales & Quoting: Prepare accurate quotes, process orders efficiently, and proactively assist customers in finding the right products for their projects. Administration: Manage trade accounts, process invoices, and maintain tidy, well-stocked retail displays at the counter. Trade Yard Responsibilities Inventory & Logistics: Safely receive, unload, check, and store incoming stock, ensuring the yard is organised and accessible. Order Fulfilment: Accurately pick and prepare large customer orders for dispatch and delivery, including cutting timber and loading vehicles. Safety & Maintenance: Operate forklifts and other equipment safely. Ensure the yard is kept clean, compliant, and adheres to all WHS standards.
