In this role you will provide expert technical advice regarding the accounting for, and reporting of, assets. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the continued development of Council’s financial accounting and reporting systems, supported by a team of professionals. Essential Recognised Australian Accounting, Business or Commerce degree Demonstrated experience in applying and understanding accounting policies, principles and Australian Accounting standards predominantly for asset management Extensive experience in maintaining and developing accounting systems Demonstrated knowledge and experience of financial management and statutory reporting Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with good analytical and data interpretation skills Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) Demonstrated ability to apply EEO, WH&S and ethical practice principles and to act with probity at all times Desirable Experience with Civica Authority finance systems Extensive understanding of the Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting Demonstrated experience in coordinating special projects Previous Local Government experience Further Information: Anwarul Abedin, Senior Financial Accountant on Closing Date for above position: 24 November 2025 Position Description: For full position description details click here Apply for this role Visit site Share #J-18808-Ljbffr
