1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants Data Governance AnalystLocation: Hybrid - Eastern Suburbs, VICContract Type: 6-month contractHours: 38 hours per weekStart Date: Early July 2025About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst to support a large-scale data uplift program within a public sector utility. The focus will be on strengthening data governance frameworks, supporting the rollout of metadata tools, and improving data quality and compliance.Key Responsibilities Gather and document business and data requirements through stakeholder engagement Perform data assessments including profiling, lineage analysis, and issue resolution Validate data integrity throughout migration activities Identify process gaps and recommend governance or training solutions Assist in implementing data governance tools and interpreting profiling results Monitor and improve data quality, including missing or inconsistent values About You 5+ years of experience in data/information management Proven experience in data governance, data quality, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, SOCI, Public Records Act) Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Purview and Alation SQL or other data querying experience highly desirable Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills What's on Offer Competitive daily rate Opportunity to influence enterprise-level data governance initiatives Please apply with current resume in Microsoft Word format only (.doc or .docx).
