Please note these positions are also being advertised as Allied Health Professional ) and only one position will be filled on merit. *** The Team The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) are seeking an Allied Health Professional or Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our new Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub Tasmania service. This role will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver secondary level mental health assessment and interventions for infants, children, and their families and caregivers, experiencing emerging complexity regarding emotional, social, relational, and behavioural functioning. As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will: Undertake the delivery of specialist services to clients of Child and Adolescents Mental Health Services (CAMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework and promotes community awareness in relation to mental health. Provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge in all aspects of primary health care, utilising an advanced clinical practice framework for the management of clients with complex mental health needs within the designated area of practice. Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate programs and activities to improve client outcomes within the multidisciplinary team. You will need: Extensive experience and demonstrated specialist level knowledge of mental health nursing and an understanding of mental health issues in relation to children, adolescents and their families or a demonstrated ability to acquire this understanding. A thorough understanding and application of relevant legal requirements, legislation, statutory requirements, departmental procedures and policies and professional practice standards. Proven ability to provide a range of assessments and therapeutic interventions relevant for children, adolescents and families accessing services and the ability to acquire further expertise in this area. Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub Tas is an integrated secondary level mental health service for emerging complexity for the 0–12-year age group and represents an important addition to a child and family mental health stepped care model in Tasmania. This early intervention service enables families to access a range of evidence based individual and group interventions and supports for mild to moderate emotional, behavioural, social, relational, and developmental challenges. The Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub Tas service works with families, and universal, secondary, and tertiary service providers, to provide integrated and holistic care. The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is a key co-service partner. Details of Appointment Fixed term, full time day worker position working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026. *Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Salary: Registered Nurse Grade 5 $109,767 - $115,813 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
