About the role

We are seeking a proactive and Human Resources professional to join our Mungari Operations, working within an established People & Culture Team focused on our underground operations. The People and Culture Team strive for best practice by coaching and guiding people Leaders in the application of Fair Work legislation, workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding, performance management, employee engagement and professional development. Our Business Partners demonstrate behaviours aligned to Evolution’s Values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect. This opportunity will allow you to further develop your technical skills, engaging with stakeholders across our mining operations and learning within the People and Culture Team.

The position will be FIFO from Perth on a 4:3, 12-hour roster or based residentially in Kalgoorlie on a 5:2:4:3, 10-hour roster (relocation support within Australia will be provided).

About you

As an enthusiastic People and Culture professional, you demonstrate a ‘people first’ mindset, strive for excellence, have strong attention to detail, take accountability for your work and understand what’s needed to progress maturity, psychosocial safety, and employee wellbeing in the mining industry. Naturally, you are an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to quickly establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels. Working in a collaborative team, you will be open to feedback, respect other’s opinions and challenge constructively to build trust and create an inclusive environment where everyone can do their best work. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a HR generalist or Business Partner role.

Qualifications

in Human Resources (or a relevant related discipline). Strong employee relations knowledge and experience in conducting workplace investigations and managing performance.

Experience

supporting annual HR processes and cyclical activities. Ability to interpret data to make informed decisions and initiate improvement activities. Ability to partner effectively with People Leaders, advising and influencing to obtain a positive outcome. Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across the business.

Previous experience working in the mining industry (highly desirable but not essential). Confident Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint user. A proactive attitude and openness to learning. Commitment to working safely always.
