About the Role: Join our team as a Chef (Trade Cook) on a part time, ongoing basis to work at Chestnut Gardens Aged Care. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for up to 100 residents, ensuring food safety, dietary compliance, and exceptional presentation. All from our newly refurbished kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older adults by providing meals that are not only nourishing but also comforting and enjoyable. Key Responsibilities Prepare meals in accordance with standardised recipes and dietary requirements. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in line with HACCP and Food Safety Program. Ensure timely meal production and service delivery. Participate in menu planning and continuous improvement of food services. Conduct regular kitchen hygiene and cleanliness audits. Collaborate with the Food Services Manager and Support Services team to ensure quality outcomes. About You: You are a passionate and qualified chef who thrives in a team environment and takes pride in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals. You are respectful, compassionate, and understand the importance of food in enhancing the wellbeing of aged care residents. You will have: Food Safety Level 2 certification (HLTFS207C, HLTFSE005, HLTFSE007). Experience in a healthcare, aged care, or commercial kitchen environment. Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
