Assistant Director of Nursing (Specialist Programs, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service), Queensland Health This busy and dynamic role provides leadership and management that promotes, develops and supports clinical and professional mental health nursing practices. The Role An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Director of Nursing (Specialist Programs, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world‑class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Collaborate with senior management, professional leads and other multidisciplinary leaders to support effective service delivery Contribute to the development of partnership models and strategies to support undergraduate and post‑graduate education and research in the workplace Provide professional guidance, leadership and support to staff Ensure systems/process re reporting, overseeing and managing the work and services delivered. Facilitate, lead and coordinate service activity including recruitment, rostering, rotation practices and standards About you To be successful in this position you will require: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing) A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Flexible work options Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Permanent full time. Base salary ranging from $155 831 - $163 382 per annum About Us Specialist Programs, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (SPAODS) and Continuing Community Care (CCC) provide specialist, acute and ongoing, community mental health and Alcohol and other drug services for consumers aged between 18-65 years. Care and treatment are consumer focused, multidisciplinary, comprehensive and collaborative. Two addition teams that are within the SP&AODS Service Line have a health related focus – Numinbah Offender Health services and the Interdisciplinary Persistent Pain service.
