Position Overview The Occupational Therapist (OT) will work with clients to improve their functional abilities and assist in achieving goals that foster independence and community participation. The role involves providing assessments, intervention planning, therapy sessions, and regular progress reviews for NDIS participants. Location This role will be primarily based in and around the NSW Mid‑North Coast Region, however, we are open to flexible working arrangements. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive functional assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and goals. Develop and implement individual therapy plans to meet client goals within the NDIS framework. Provide direct therapy services, including home visits, to support skill development, independence, and community engagement. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, family members, and support networks to ensure a holistic approach to care. Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation, including progress notes and reports. Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and supervision sessions. Stay current with best practices, NDIS policies, and professional development. Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, privacy regulations, and ethical guidelines. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA). 3‑5 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably with NDIS participants. Sound knowledge of the NDIS, including the participant‑focused approach and NDIS pricing arrangements. Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, families, and other professionals. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (if required for home visits). Desirable Skills Experience working in community‑based or NDIS‑specific settings. Proficiency in using therapy tools and software (e.g., goal‑setting apps, client management systems). Post‑graduate qualifications in a relevant area of practice (e.g., pediatrics, mental health, geriatrics). Ability to provide training and guidance to support staff.
