At Visy, we love solving problems together. Job no: Work type: Full TimeLocation: Yatala We’re seeking a skilled Fitter Operator to join our Stapylton Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating shift roster. Rotation shift: 12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am. Day shift: 6am - 2pm, OT may be required until 4pm based on production requirements Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely. What you’ll do: preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery. Operating a production line to ensure minimal downtime. Set up and fine tuning of machines for optimal productivity. Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing. What You’ll Bring: Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III in Engineering or higher). Welding and fabrication skills are beneficial. Significant experience in an industrial environment, preferably in manufacturing with a background in fault finding. Forklift licence, EWP licence, rigging ticket are advantageous. Able to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines, while also demonstrating excellent teamwork skills. Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime.
