Overview Occuhealth is an Occupational Health and Hygiene Consultancy company with its head office located in Mandurah and another office in Belmont. We are seeking a skilled and versatile Human Resources Officer to join our small Corporate Team. The role involves human resources functions with a specific focus on recruitment processes, employment law, performance and culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and the ability to navigate employment regulations in Western Australia. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the organisation’s HR needs and will proactively lead HR initiatives to ensure employees are treated consistently and fairly. They will ensure staff receive appropriate training to meet client expectations, maintain organisational compliance, and support leaders in understanding their obligations under the Fair Work Act. The role can be performed as 0.4 FTE over 3 days per week or as 0.6 FTE over 4 days per week. Responsibilities Drive appropriate levels of staffing to meet organisational requirements. Work closely with the managers to ensure we have appropriately skilled staff to meet our client needs. Develop and implement HR Policies and Procedures that align with employment law Champion a positive organisational culture that supports high employee engagement and strong staff retention. Oversee a robust pay system that is fair and just. Provide an efficient, compliant HR service encompassing recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, and performance management and the preparation of all required documentation. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR matters, and deliver education on upcoming changes, compliance obligations, and the performance appraisal process. Undertake grievance investigations and ensure procedural fairness. Provide support and guidance to the Payroll Officer. The successful applicant will Have a minimum of 5 years proven experience in HR roles Have a strong understanding of Employment Law and Fair Work requirements. Have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, and a business orientated mindset Be proactive and solutions focused Be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy The following would be highly regarded Diploma or similar qualifications in Human Resources Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
