Network Administrator II

Responsibilities Establish network specifications by collaborating with users to analyze workflow, access needs, information flow, and security requirements; design router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. Establish and configure the network by evaluating performance factors such as availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; plan and execute selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; define network policies and procedures; set up connections and firewalls. Maintain optimal network performance through continuous monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshoot issues and, if necessary, escalated to vendors. Secure the network by developing access protocols, monitoring usage, controlling access, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Prepare end users by designing and delivering training programs, providing documentation, and offering support. Coordinate network upgrades by working with vendors to develop, test, evaluate, and implement system enhancements. Stay current with industry trends by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in relevant organizations. Protect the organization's assets and information by maintaining strict confidentiality. Support organizational objectives by taking ownership of tasks, fulfilling new and unique requests, and seeking ways to add value through innovation and initiative. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of experience in a similar network or systems administration role. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server , Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office. Proficient in Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. Experience with Cisco device setup, configuration, and management. Strong understanding of TCP/IP and data communication protocols. Skilled in managing Windows Server infrastructure and overseeing deployments and rollouts. Experience with server virtualization technologies such as VMware Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper‑V/Virtual Server. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking principles.
