At The Gordon’s Senior Secondary College, located at our East Geelong Campus, we are replenishing our casual teaching pool and have exciting opportunities for passionate teachers to join our team. Our Senior College offers core subjects such as English and Mathematics, alongside electives including Biology, Health and Human Development, Legal Studies, Outdoor and Environmental Studies, Psychology, and work‑related skills. Many of our students progress to TAFE courses or employment, taking confident steps toward their future careers. If you are proactive in shaping curriculum initiatives, passionate about teaching, and eager to collaborate with a team committed to innovative student engagement, this is the role for you. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging VCE and VCE VM programs tailored to diverse learner needs Incorporate contemporary teaching practices and learning technologies Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and student engagement strategies Support students in achieving academic and personal growth goals About You You are a dynamic teacher who values creativity and student‑centred learning. You bring energy, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education. Additionally, you will have: A degree or approved tertiary qualification enabling you to teach across VCE Year 11 & 12 Four years of full‑time or equivalent higher education study, including an approved initial teaching qualification A three‑year qualification relevant to a VCE subject field, or an Education qualification with suitable methods to teach up to VCE level If this sounds like an opportunity for you, please apply Please note, candidate reviews and interviews may be conducted prior to the closing date, so get your application in now so you don’t miss this great role. Applications close Monday, 5 January 2026 @ 11:30pm Salary Range Casual Teacher L1 | $90.07 (teaching) and $61.22 (non‑teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification Casual Teacher L2 | $93.61 (teaching) and $63.62 (non‑teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification Casual Teacher L3 | $97.31 (teaching) and $66.10 (non‑teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification Please note: the above pay rates come into effect 1 January 2026.
