Teachers - Aboriginal Pathways to Employment Empower First Nations Youth – Teach, Connect, Inspire Casual and Full time fixed term Opportunities Geelong City Location The Gordon is proud to deliver the Aboriginal Pathways to Employment Program, an accredited initiative designed to provide culturally appropriate support and learning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 15–18. This program empowers participants who may be disengaged or ‘at risk’ to overcome barriers to education and employment. Through culturally engaging and practical approaches, you’ll help students build the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to access education pathways and employment opportunities. This includes delivering Certificate I, II, and III in Mumgu-dhal tyama-tiyt Community, Connection and Pathways—a program to strengthen identity, fosters community connection and opens doors to future success. Check out the Position Description to find out more To succeed in this role, you will have: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent). Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples, with an understanding of cultural identity and connection. Knowledge and/or experience supporting young people who are disengaged from education, training or employment. Salary Range: Casual Teacher L1 | $87.45 (teaching) and $59.43 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification Casual Teacher L2 | $90.88 (teaching) and $61.77 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification Casual Teacher L3 | $94.47 (teaching) and $64.18 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification Teacher L1.1 to L1.3 | $80,939 to $92,308 p.a. (pro rata) | AQF4 teaching qualification Teacher L2.1 to L2.4 | $93,650 to $103,998 p.a. (pro rata) | AQF5 teaching qualification Teacher L3.1 to L3.5 | $107,302 to $123,284 p.a.
