The role: As our pipeline of civil infrastructure, solar and renewable energy projects continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Bid Manager to join the Pre-Contracts team, critical in securing new work and strengthening our market position. Reporting to the Pre-Contracts Manager and working with the wider team, you will take ownership of the end‑end tendering process across our national business. Role can be based at either of our Geelong or South Melbourne head offices. Your everyday: As a Senior Bid Manager, you will coordinate bid responses across delivery, estimating, commercial and partner inputs, ensuring each submission clearly demonstrates our capability, value and experience. Take the lead in the preparation and submission of high-quality EOI's and tenders Provide leadership, mentoring and construction expertise to the precontracts team Prepare and present post tender presentations or attend interview Assist the estimating manager to identify and implement learning and development opportunities among the team Be a key contributor in the continual improvement of internal systems and processes Who are you? Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field More than 5 years of proven experience managing tenders or bids within the civil construction, infrastructure or renewable energy sectors Prior background in estimating, project engineering or commercial management desirable Demonstrated ability to manage the full bid lifecycle, initial opportunity assessment through to submission, negotiation and handover to delivery teams Passion for developing your career with Symal and be mentored by industry experts A career with us At Symal, we've always known that people and performance make amazing things happen.
