About the Role DFES is seeking a highly organised and motivated Events and Awards Assistant to join our dynamic Sponsorship, Awards and Events team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administration abilities, excellent organisational and time-management skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will assist with the development and delivery of a range of corporate events and awards, including the WA Fire and Emergency Services Conference, WA Fire and Emergency Services Awards, International Firefighters’ Day Memorial Service and the Volunteer Employer Recognition Awards. You’ll also help recognise the dedication of DFES staff and volunteers by assisting with the processing and administration of long service medals and other formal recognition. A core part of your role will involve providing high‑quality administrative support including financial administration such as raising purchase orders and processing invoices, data entry and database management, managing shared inboxes and handling enquiries and coordinating meetings and taking minutes. In return, you’ll work with a supportive, passionate team where your contribution genuinely makes a difference. A relevant qualification or experience in events is highly desirable, but not essential. If you have exceptional attention to detail, strong administrative skills and can manage competing priorities in a busy environment, we’d love to hear from you. Employment Conditions and Additional Information DFES is an emergency services organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies and additional allowances may apply.
