About the role The Right to Information Officer role is based in a high‑volume, fast‑paced, front‑line structured environment. The position holder facilitates the review and determination of applications made under the GIPA Act, ensuring assessments meet legislative requirements and responses are timely, comprehensive and high quality. Key Responsibilities Provide professional customer service to the public, ensuring legal, policy and procedural requirements are understood while meeting required performance indicators and timeframes. Ensure that material or information released complies with the relevant legislation, applying business policies, procedures and standards. Maintain accurate records to ensure current and relevant information is available. Prioritise and coordinate workflow in a high‑volume environment, considering information from multiple internal and external sources to accurately complete allocated applications. Maintain currency and accuracy of information and resources while managing a high‑volume workload and quality service delivery. Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures while working to tight timeframes. Meet stakeholder needs while ensuring a firm understanding of what the customer wants versus what the legislation allows or states. Identify and communicate emerging and potentially contentious issues early. About You Outstanding organisational and time‑management skills. Ability to thrive in a busy work environment and use critical‑thinking skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Experience applying and interpreting legislation. Strong written communication skills and confident decision‑making.
