The Club offers facilities including Bar, Bistro, Gaming and TAB.This position is suited to an experienced General Manager or a Manager looking to take the next step in their career.A strong community presence in the area and catering to a diverse demographic of members and guests.The current building provides a comfortable facility. Today, the club employs 20 plus staff in a range of roles and is a leading employer in the local area.The club has in excess of 1,000 members with a great opportunity to grow this area of the business as the RSL enjoys a positive profile in the area.An exciting opportunity to work within the RSL and support our objectives has become available for a highly competent, motivated and hands-on General Manager. You will lead the day-to-day operation of this fantastic club and possess the appropriate experience gathered from previous management roles within the hospitality and gaming industry.The CandidateYou will drive front house operations, maintaining and improving the overall customer and employee experience across this multi-faceted venueLead, motivate and mentor up to 20 direct reportsImplement appropriate policy and procedural changes to improve and grow the businessForecast and report on profit and loss across multiple revenue streams – , bar, functions/events, entertainment, gaming and wageringCollaborate with key team members to develop special programs and eventsFoster positive relationships with local community and social clubsOversee maintenance projects and new concept developmentsWith a strong community presence, this role requires a commitment to deliver the Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives of the club, by providing the highest service standards to our members, guests and the veteran community.We are seeking a dynamic, engaging and suitably experienced General Manager to drive and build the business with a focus on positioning the club to achieve commercial growth, and broaden our appeal to a larger cross section of the community.Reporting to the Board, the General Manager will possess:An appreciation of the RSL brand and what is stands forThe ability to consistently achieve outstanding revenue and profit resultsPrerequisites:Key leadership roles within the Hospitality industry (Minimum 5 years)Hold a current Victorian Gaming LicenceHold a current Victorian RSA CertificateHave completed current Victorian RSG Training Modules 1 and 2Be able to be a nominee of both the Liquor Licence and the Gaming Venue Operators LicenceCurrent Drivers LicenceAttractive salary package commensurate with experience.Critical to your successful appointment will be your cultural fit to this unique organisation, your demonstrated initiative, ability to problem solve and tackle tasks head on.To be considered for this exciting role you must provide a detailed covering letter, together with your current CV.Please apply via seek.Only successful candidates will be contacted.Cover letter with CV to be addressed to:RSL Victoria4 Collins Street, Melbourne, Vic.3000Your application will include the following questions:Do you hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a general manager?How many years of people management experience do you have?How many years' experience do you have with forecasting for businesses?Report this job advert
