The Position An exceptional opportunity exists for a skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading mental health service as Clinical Director. This full‑time role uniquely balances clinical care and leadership, with 0.5 FTE dedicated to integrated acute inpatient and adult community mental health duties, and 0.5 FTE focused on medical staff management and administration. As Clinical Director, you will champion high standards of specialist care, deliver expert assessment and management while ensuring thorough treatment planning and meticulous clinical documentation. You’ll lead and inspire the medical team, coordinating Clinical Lead Specialists and supervising junior medical staff, fostering a culture of ethical practice and continuous improvement. Your leadership will extend to managing clinical governance, chairing mental health committees, and upholding patient safety programs—all crucial to maintaining service excellence and alignment with strategic goals.
