The DevOps lead will play a role in architecting and maintaining our infrastructure and ensuring seamless deployment and scalability of our applications. This role will drive the adoption of DevOps practices to ensure success on initiatives, will also lead the team and create a DevOps culture. Role Responsibilities Build tools and processes to allow the team to rapidly get code from development, through testing, into production. Manage and continuously improve our CI system (currently Gitlab) Manage our fleet of 10’s of thousands of Linux media players worldwide and over 50 AWS EC2 instances. Configuration management of both media players and servers. Optimise AWS usage to achieve cost savings. Review and improve our server architecture and end to end infrastructure / services. Continue to improve our containerisation. Manage security and perform regular security reviews. Implement proactive monitoring and alarming of all devices. Create alerting of EC2 instance issues. Create tools and processes to 1) automatically fix issues on media players where possible and 2) integrate alerts into zendesk for the support team to resolve where automation was unable to fix. Own the process for commissioning new media players and servers. Data migrations. Maintain disaster recovery and rollback procedures. Commercial Acumen to drive roadmaps that align with expected commercial parameters of the business. Build a high performing team – train down and upskill team members to continue to grow skills. Role Requirements 6 +years experience in a senior devops role. 3+ years working as part of an agile software development team. 5+ years Linux experience. 1+ years AWS experience. 3+ years automation / continuous integration experience. Experience managing a large fleet of devices using configuration management tools. Proven experience managing a team of software/DevOps/engineering professionals. Experience in leading, coaching, and developing technical teams. Ability to manage team workload, priorities, and project assignments.
