About the opportunity: We are seeking expressions of interest from Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our residential aged care home in Albury. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a real and meaningful difference when it matters most. Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely. Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs. Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring and comfortable environment for residents. Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms. Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences. Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). What you'll bring: You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care. To thrive in this role, you will have: A minimum Cert III / Cert IV in Aged Care or Individual Support. Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach. The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
