Join to apply for the Estimator role at Design Build . Design and Build Recruitment is searching for an estimator with experience working in the commercial construction space. The successful applicant will focus on fitout projects up to $10M and new build projects up to $5M across multiple sectors including education, retail, government, health, entertainment, office, and retail. Their focus is to produce high‑quality fitout and new build projects while always delivering excellent service and experience to their clients. Responsibilities Creating tenders from first principles Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers Risk analysis of projects via the plans and programs Collecting and analysing the scope of works to estimate the cost of labour, machines, subcontractors, time and any other associated costs that may impact the project Setting programs and budgets from structure through to handover Requirements Have at least five years post‑graduate experience as an Estimator Proven experience sitting in tender meetings and working closely with clients Have experience tendering & winning projects valued at least $5M Confident liaising with architects, engineers and other consultants Strong time‑management skills with the ability to manage a programme to time and budget Effective communicator The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary depending on experience.
