Overview Senior Behavioural Advisor – NSW Department of Customer Service (Temporary Full‑time, up to 12 months). Work with First Nations stakeholders across community and justice sectors to apply behavioural science to improve government services. Pay Base salary A$129,464 – A$142,665 per year plus superannuation. Responsibilities Liaise with project partners and First Nations communities to identify service challenges. Design, manage and conduct qualitative and quantitative research to underpin evidence‑based interventions. Develop behavioural intervention designs using theories of change, change‑frameworks and co‑design with participants. Plan and deliver projects, balancing concurrent tasks and adapting to challenges. Adhere to rigorous research, design and evaluation protocols that are ethical and people‑centred. Create engaging visualisations, reports and stories to communicate findings to partners, decision makers and the public. Collaborate with team members and partners in a curious and supportive environment. Qualifications Relevant experience leading behavioural science or evaluation projects that improved policy or service outcomes. Experience working with diverse communities, especially within justice, social or community sectors. Strong project management skills, including planning, delivery and risk management. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical research into accessible stories. Essential Requirement Targeted Aboriginal role – evidence of Aboriginality is required (as defined by the Aboriginal Lands Rights Act 1983). Application Resume (not more than 5 pages).
